Here in the UK we were a little slow on the uptake, but Pure Water Window Cleaning is now becoming a well-known method of cleaning windows. We like our customers to understand a little bit about Pure Water, what Pure Water is and what makes it perfect for window cleaning. So here’s a little lesson on Pure Water for you.
The reason is that tap water contains many minerals. For drinking purposes, this isn’t a problem at all; however if we were to wash your windows with tap water and leave the tap water on the glass to air-dry naturally, as the water evaporates from your windows some of those minerals like calcium and magnesium for example, would be left behind on the glass. These minerals are the causes of hard water stains and unsightly spotting. You’ll notice these build up on any glass surrounding showers or taps at home, or even after washing your car. This is why traditional window cleaners (those who use a squeegee and mop) always blade the water from the glass.
To produce Pure Water we take tap water and pass it through a number of different filters until all of the impurities within the tap water (that leave those unsightly spots and marks on your windows), have been removed, leaving 100% de-ionised ultra-pure water. This filtration process is called “Reverse Osmosis”.
It’s been said that Pure Water is always trying to return to its natural impure state. Pure Water wants to be dirty again! When applied to your windows, Pure Water has a magnetic effect on dirt, lifting muck and debris off the glass and from the window seals, nooks and crannies, meaning Pure Water has amazing cleaning qualities. It’s for this reason Pure Water is extensively used throughout the cleaning industry, not just in the window cleaning business.
We think the list is endless, but here are 7 of the best benefits in our opinion!
Pure Water is excellent at breaking down and dissolving dirt, and is completely free of chemicals and detergents.
Smear free windows – Because all impurities have been removed from our Pure Water, we can leave the glass wet, and it will air-dry naturally to a sparkling finish. So there is no danger of smearing the windows with dirty rags or squeegees.
Traditional window cleaners use soap of some kind in their water, which sounds like a good idea, right? But this soap leaves an invisible but sticky residue on the glass. The problem with this is that as the wind blows past the window, dust and dirt particles are attracted to this sticky layer. The result is that your windows get dirtier quicker! Ironic isn’t it?
With Pure Water Window Cleaning there is no sticky residue left on the glass so your windows stay cleaner for longer.
With our Pure Water Window Cleaning system we clean all window frames, sills and doors in their entirety as standard! Why is this so important? Well, for one, your windows will only ever look as clean as your window frames. And two, if your frames are not cleaned, the next time it rains all the dirt on the frames will flow onto your clean windows! The result? Your windows were cleaned yesterday but they appear dirty today!
There are certain windows that are notoriously hard to clean for the traditional window cleaner. The usual culprits are windows situated over conservatories and extensions as well as velux windows. Many of these just cannot be safely reached with a ladder to clean by hand. But with our extendable poles, we can reach most previously inaccessible windows from ground level. Our extendable poles also eliminate the need to walk on roof tiles (causing potential damage), in an effort to reach these hard to reach windows.
Although we at Pure Water Window Cleaning are fully insured, none of us want an accident to happen on our property.
Our extendable poles allow us to clean windows up to 4 stories tall from the safety of the ground, which provides peace of mind for our customers and employees a like.
Cleaning all windows from the ground means added privacy for our customers (nobody will appear at your upstairs windows).
We have a large static water purifying system, which is constantly producing Pure Water for us, and each of our vans is equipped with its own large 800-litre tank and water purifying system (as pictured here) in which to transport our purified water to site.
Once at your property, to apply Pure Water to your windows we use an extendable water-fed pole with a specially designed soft bristle cleaning brush on the end. Pure Water is pumped from the tank in our vans up through the pole and out through pencil jets in the brush head on to your windows.
The Pure Water with its powerful cleaning properties rapidly softens even stubborn dirt on the window, the soft brush is used to agitate (scrub) the softened dirt and the flow of Pure Water carries the dirt with it to the ground.
The windows are left wet, but with no impurities in the remaining drops of pure water, remarkably they dry to a sparkling finish.
However, Pure Water Window Cleaning can’t be just a case of ‘splash & dash’ if you want to see great results. There is some knowhow required. The agitating of the dirt on the windows and the rinsing process need to be done in a certain way if the windows are to dry to a sparkling finish. So if you have tried Pure Water Window Cleaning in the past and not been satisfied, don’t give up on Pure Water yet. We know how to clean with Pure Water and get the very best results! And for your peace of mind, we even offer a 24 hour re-clean guarantee. This is how we make sure our customers are always 100% happy with their clean.
If your windows and doors have never been cleaned with Pure Water before, then you may find there is a transition period of about 3 cleans.
We always say it can take up to 3 cleans to see optimum results.
Well, if your windows have only ever been cleaned in the traditional way (with a squeegee and a mop) then quite a lot of dirt will be built up in the seals of your windows and doors. We need to remove this dirt.
So on your first window clean, we will spend extra time applying a cleaning solution to your windows and doors and flushing those seals. And you’ll see immediate results after your clean.
However, as explained earlier on this page, Pure Water acts like a magnet to dirt, drawing it to itself. This is what gives Pure Water its amazing window cleaning capabilities. But it’s also what can cause a few teething issues during the first 2 or 3 cleans.
You see we can complete your clean and leave everything looking great, only for the customer to later find a few drips and runs have appeared on their glass or on their window sills, after we have left site.
This is because the Pure Water has continued to act like a magnet, drawing the dirt out to itself. So a few small runs appearing during the initial cleans is a totally normal part of the transition period, and we ask that if possible, you can bare with the process.
Some windows don’t seem to develop any runs at all, while others are more prone to runs. That’s why customer feedback is really important us.
We want you to be happy with your clean every time, so if ever you aren’t happy with your clean, even during the first 3 cleans, we offer a 24 hour re-clean guarantee.
So how does it work? Well, if you are ever unhappy with your window clean, you can call us within 24 hours of your clean (while we are still in your area and can call back promptly to assess the clean) and we will pop back and re-clean any problem areas for you.
This re-clean guarantee is always available for you. So please use it if you need to.
Customer feedback is super important to us at Pure Water Window Cleaning. It’s how we keep tabs on the quality of our window cleaning service and continue to improve our service.
So if a customer is ever unhappy with their clean, we want to know. And likewise, when our customers are thrilled with their cleans, we want to know that too. We always enjoy passing our happy customers comments on to our cleaners, who themselves take pride in doing the best job they can, and also appreciate the feedback.
Our 24 Re-Clean Guarantee means you can book our service with confidence.
