In the UK we love our conservatories. Conservatories enable us to increase the floor space of our homes providing us with an extra room, without the added expense and building work that loft conversions and extensions require.
Conservatories are a large financial investment with the potential to add value to our homes, so it makes sense that we safeguard that investment and maintain them just as we would any other part of our home.
Also, conservatories can be wonderful spaces in which to spend time, allowing us to feel more connected to our gardens and to nature all year round. However, because of all the extra glass, bird droppings and every day grime and dust can be more visible on a conservatory (especially the conservatory roof) than on any other part of your home. So if we’re to enjoy spending time in our conservatories, regular conservatory roof cleaning (and window cleaning) is key.
Glass conservatory roofs will show dirt sitting on the roof more quickly than the more opaque polycarbonate roofs, so our customers with glass conservatory roofs tend to prefer a more regular clean than those with polycarbonate roofs.
It isn’t only the glass that needs our attention though. Without regular cleaning, damage can occur to the conservatory roof seals. If not removed, algae can grow under the seals causing problems. This in time can lead to leaks and potentially fogged up / misty panels. (Pure Water Window Cleaning will not / cannot cause glass units to break down. But if the glass units are broken down already or start to break down over time, then moisture seeping under the compromised seals could potentially enter the glass panel causing fogging).
At Pure Water Window Cleaning we view conservatories as part of the home rather than an addition to the home. So the cleaning of all conservatory doors and (vertical) windows are included in our regular 4 or 8 weekly window cleaning service.
Conservatory Roof cleaning however is a separate service we offer.
So our Conservatory Roof Cleaning service does not include the cleaning of the conservatory doors or vertical windows.
However, if you are not yet one of our regular window cleaning customers, we can include the conservatory doors and vertical windows in your roof clean if requested. (Or, why not sign up to a regular 4 or 8 weekly window cleaning service to receive a discount on your Conservatory Roof cleaning quote?)
Our Conservatory Roof cleaning service involves cleaning the entire glass or polycarbonate roof (including all UPVC) along with the outside of the guttering attached to the roof.
We use a two-step cleaning process. Firstly, we apply a powerful foaming cleaning solution to the entire roof. We then use Pure Water with our extendable poles and specially designed brush head to gently but effectively scrub away all the dirt. This dirt is then rinsed away with Pure Water. Pure Water in itself has amazing intrinsic cleaning properties, so when coupled with our chosen cleaning solution during step one, we can achieve amazing results.
We recommend that conservatory roofs be cleaned at least once a year, and if possible, two or three times a year.
To encourage our customers to have 2 or more conservatory roof cleans per year, we offer discounts for booking a quarterly or six monthly cleaning service. The more regularly a conservatory roof is cleaned the lower the cost of the clean.
Our conservatory roof cleaning prices vary depending on size, construction material and condition of the conservatory roof.
But as a guide we have a minimum charge of £80.00, with each conservatory roof panel costing approximately £7.00 to clean.
We always like to see the conservatory roof before we formulate our quote, so the quote you receive will be based on your particular conservatory roof.
Often we can see pictures of our customer’s homes including their conservatories online, so we can quote from these pictures. But if we can’t find pictures of your home online, then you can either take a few pictures of your conservatory roof and send them to us via the contact form on this website, or by text, WhatsApp or messenger.
Alternatively, for non-standard conservatory roofs or if the customer simply prefers us to do so, we can pop out to have a look at your roof in person, that’s no problem at all.
We have meticulously high standards when it comes to cleaning, so we price in such a way that allows us enough time to carry out a thorough clean.
